From Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday, here in St Patrick’s, Kiltegan, we will remember, especially, the intentions of our benefactors, families and friends, in all our ceremonies and prayers during these sacred days.
Life is not easy for many people. Everybody has their own cross to bear. Nobody is spared from carrying a cross of one kind or another. However, we can look to the future with confidence. The message of Easter tells us that God, in the face of all our burdens, anxieties and difficulties, has the last word. That word is a word of life, light, hope and energy. The Resurrection of Jesus from the dead assures us that, when all is said and done, God is in control of all that happens to us. We come from God, we belong to God and we will return to God. Just as God raised up Jesus, He will, also, raise us up and hold us to himself now and forever.
