An online Mass was held in St Patrick's, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow on Sunday 18th October for Mission Sunday. The theme for 2026 is “One in Christ, united in mission.” It was an opportunity to come together as a community to support our missionaries around the world. On Saturday, August 8th four students will be ordained deacons for St Patrick’s Missionary Society. The diaconate ordinations will take place in Holy Family Parish, Utawala, Kenya at 10am (East Africa Time) and the ordaining prelate will be Archbishop Dominic Kimengich of Mombasa Archdiocese. Yesterday we celebrated our Sunday Mass in Brakpan, not in our church, but outside on our parish property, near to where some wonderful trees are to be found. One small bush was in full bloom. On Monday, August 4th, we welcomed three more brothers into our missionary family. Rev Gabriel Lwando, Rev Wilson Lungu and Rev Saviour Mulenga were ordained missionary priests, for St Patrick's Missionary Society, in Lusaka, Zambia by Rt. Rev.
