This short video was recorded in 2019 when Fr Thomas (Tom) Browne was leaving Mexico after 20 years of missionary service in the Diocese of Cuernavaca. It is a beautiful tribute from the people he served. It makes special mention of his total dedication to Christ, to the Church and to the people he served. It highlights the Christ-like quality of his being and ministry. It gives a long list of his qualities as a pastor: joyful, understanding, noble, merciful, on the side of the poor, an advocate for others, missionary, charismatic, humble and great. A truly beautiful tribute to a great missionary as he returns to his home country at the age of 90 after 65 years of active ministry as a missionary priest.
Fr Thomas Browne's funeral will take place later today in St Patrick’s, Kiltegan. May he rest in peace.
